At Vienna College it is expected that students will become actively involved in a number of clubs and societies on offer. Not only is this seen as some relief from the long hours of study and academic learning, but it is also considered an excellent opportunity to develop interests and broaden experience at the same time as interacting socially.

Each afternoon, after lessons are completed, a wide range of extra-curricular programmes occur and some clubs organize trips and visits near and far. Currently the list of activities includes:

  • Aerobics
  • Badminton
  • Basketball
  • Catholic Community Interact
  • Charity Club
  • Chess
  • Choir
  • Computer Clubs
  • Drama
  • Economics
  • Football
  • French
  • Geography
  • German
  • Girl Guides/Scouts
  • Muslim Students Association
  • Scripture Union
  • Straight Talk
  • Swimming
  • Volleyball
  • Wild Life
  • Writers

In addition, there are a large number of House Competitions in a range of sports all organized in three age groups:

- Junior (S1 and S2)
- Intermediate (S3 and S4)
- Senior (S5 and S6)

Once a year the College holds an inter-house swimming gala and athletics sports day. School matches are played in the major games and Vienna competes in a number of East African School tournaments.

A range of entertainment activities are presented at the weekend and these are listed in the College Calendar.
